Merchandise trade with foreign countries BiH, January 2013th

The foreign trade deficit in January 2013 amounted to KM 414.3 million or 5.4% less than in the same month of the previous year. Viewed by divisions of the SITC classification, in January 2013, the largest deficit was noted in Section 33, "Petroleum and petroleum products" in the amount of 158.4 million KM (which is 6.9% more than in January of the previous year) and Section 78 "Road vehicles" to the value of 35.3 million KM (which is 9.5% less than in January of the previous year). The largest surplus in January 2013 was made in Section 82, "Furniture and parts thereof" in the amount of BAM 58.4 million (or 11% more than in January of the previous year). Observed by regions and NACE BH (KD / NACE Rev. 2), one can observe the following:
The January 2013 the largest share in exports is in the area (C) "Manufacturing" in the amount of 533.6 million, which accounts for 88% of total exports.
 Within this area, the largest share in exports was obtained in section (C24) "Manufacture of basic metals", with a total value of 96.3 million, which accounted for 15.9% of total exports.
 In the month of January 2012, the largest share in imports in the area (C) "Manufacturing" with a total value of 804.5 million, which is 78.8% of total imports.
Within this area, the largest share in imports in section (C10) "Manufacture of food products and beverages" with a total value of 130.8 million, which amounts to 12.8% of total imports.
In terms of geographical distribution of goods Transport with foreign countries, it is possible to state the following:
In the month of January 2013, the highest exports to Germany and to the value of 109.2 million, which is a percentage of 18% of the total exports. Neighboring countries, the biggest export in the same month was recorded in Croatia and in the amount of 84.3 million, which is a percentage of 13.9% of total exports.
Regarding the regional groups, in January 2013 the highest exports in the EU and in the amount of 383.4 million, which is a percentage of 63.2% of the total exports. Significant export growth had also in CEFTA countries valued at 149.5 million, which is a percentage of 24.6% of total exports.
 In the month of January 2013, the highest imports from Russia and amounting to 125.5 million, which is a percentage of 12.3% of total imports. From neighboring countries, most import in the same month was achieved by the Croatian and amounting to 120.9 million, which is a percentage of 11.8% of total imports.
Regarding the regional groups, in January 2013, the highest imports from the EU amounting to 483.5 million, which is a percentage of 47.4% of total imports. In the EU countries, mostly imported from Germany and amounting to 112.7 million, which is a percentage of 11% of total imports. Significant import growth had also from CEFTA countries valued at 211.1 million, which is 20.7 percent of total imports.
Viewed by its major trading partners BiH can be seen that there has been a growth in exports in January from the same month last year, with exports to Croatia in the amount of 18.5%, Slovenia 12.3%, Italy 6.5% and Germany 6.2%, while the decline in exports to Serbia in the amount of 5.9%.
Looking at January 2013 compared to January 2012 can be seen that there has been a growth in imports of goods from Italy at 24.5%, Serbia 11.7%, Germany 9.7%, Slovenia 9.3%, while there has been a decline in imports from the Croatian in the amount of 13.2% and Russia 4.9%.

Regarding the sections of the Harmonized System (HS) and the Customs Tariff of BiH can observe the following important trends:
In the month of January 2013, the largest share in exports in the sector XV "Base metals and articles of base metals", with a total value of 137.4 million, which amounts to 22.6% of total exports. A significant volume of exports was also in the sector of XX "Miscellaneous" with a total value of 71.5 million, which amounts to 11.8% of total exports.
In the month of January 2013, the largest share in imports in sector V "Mineral products" with a total value of 252.3 million, which is 24.7% of total imports. SPS, variables and data for businesses, 2011, the preliminary results

Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina began with the development of structural business statistics and other communication published annual structural business statistics (SBS), this time for 2011. year.
